London Olympics

The Olympics is a sporting event that occurs once every four years and has different variety of sports, including football, basketball, discus etc... In my personal opinion, I could not care any less about the Olympics this year in London because it is just like every four years, when one or two countries completely dominate in a single particular sport. I do not find the Olympics interesting nor do I ever watch it on the television mainly because I do not like watching any sports besides football. You may argue with me and mention that there is football being played in the Olympics, but the players that actually participate are none of the big or major stars. This is partly because the Euro Cup also takes place during the exact same time so the players that play in the Euro need to take a break and have a summer. I understand that the Olympics is something very important to quite a number of people out there because yes, it does bring the nations together and compete in sports, and it might improve the way of living around that area. For example, when the 2008 Olympics in Beijing occurred, the Chinese made colossal improvements to many parts of Beijing, even going as far as building a whole new airport when the Olympic players arrive.  This also opens more job opportunities for many people living in Beijing (also in London, etc) and that would bring down the unemployment rate by quite a margin.

Still working on it~

Are you positive about this statement? In my view, there was a big change. This year's viewers were a lot more than any of the other years. You really agree with this statement of yours? Explain.
